Interview with Bob Dorr

Bob Dorr is an Iowa Music Icon, made official in March 2018 when the Iowa Legislature House and Senate passed a bipartisan resolution saying so, that passed unanimously in March 2018. If you grew up in Iowa in the last five decades - last 50 years - last half century - then you know who Bob Dorr is. You've been listening to him on the radio and seen him on TV - some of you all the way back to the 70s - or maybe you've seen him play live with his band, the Blue Band or at the Iowa State Fair leading his Iowa Music Review. He's a bandleader, vocalist, drummer, harmonica player, radio producer/announcer/concert promoter in no particular order and to top it off, he's a really good guy. Meet Bob Dorr in his own words taken from our phone interview on March 22, 2023.
